It all began in July 2015 when, partly as a challenge and partly out of sheer madness, we decided to cultivate tiny family olive groves in Sicily. In the beginning, everything was new to us, and the oil produced in these marvelous lands seemed incredibly good; soon, we realized that we could make a difference by enhancing its aromas and taste. We aimed to apply a "wine list" concept to our oil!
Over the years, we have come to understand that the perception of olive oil quality can vary significantly, even within the production regions. This awareness has driven us to commit with greater determination to our mission of constantly improving and producing oils that can be objectively recognized as superior in quality.
Giovanni
Co-FounderGiovanni, the visionary behind TERRE TINTE, embodies the determination and passion that define a true agent of change.
After obtaining a degree in Environmental Sciences, through which he deepened his understanding of pollutant interactions and ecosystems, he became aware of the urgency to develop sustainable management models in the agricultural sector. With passion and dedication, he experimented and tested new solutions for a more sustainable future.
His thesis, a study of agronomic management systems in Sicilian olive groves, only fueled his thirst for change. Thus, TERRE TINTE was born, an ambitious project aiming to redefine agricultural practices for a more sustainable olive grove. Driven by his determination to make a difference, Giovanni brought to life an initiative that not only dreams of a better farming future but realizes it through concrete and innovative actions.
However, his quest for impact didn't stop there. Fueled by another great passion - water - he expanded his horizons. From Sicilian olive groves to remote African villages, Giovanni dedicated himself to bringing clean and accessible water where it is most urgent and needed. His unwavering dedication and tireless commitment are a testament to his pioneering spirit and determination to create actions with tangible impact.
Noèmie
Co-FounderNoémie is the embodiment of passion and enthusiasm for environmental conservation and biodiversity.
With a degree in Zoology, she has spent years immersed in the study of animal species interactions and their natural habitats. Her research and dedication to promoting nature conservation have led her to delve into the complexity of ecosystems and the necessity of adopting sustainable agricultural practices to preserve biodiversity.
Her thesis in the Central African Republic, focusing on the role of termites in nitrogen nitrification, has highlighted the importance of maintaining a harmonious balance between agriculture and natural habitats. Noémie has contributed to transforming Terre Tinte into an initiative that not only aims to redefine agricultural practices for a more sustainable olive grove but also seeks to promote the marketing of extra virgin olive oil, in order to make the project economically as well as environmentally sustainable.

Enzo
Producer and Master BlenderEnzo's passion for olive oil has led him to become an expert in recognizing the quality and unique flavors of the territory. When he was involved in the Terre Tinte project, he took on the role of Master Blender, guiding us in the selection of olive varieties and emphasizing their organoleptic characteristics.
Thanks to his experience, he has emphasized the importance of promoting practices and harvesting methods aimed at protecting the fruit before extraction. His story is a tribute to dedication and love for the olive and the Sicilian land.
Francesco
Master MillerFrancesco grew up with his father inside the family olive oil mill, spending endless hours studying and mastering the operation of these machines, learning to appreciate every single movement.
When the Terre Tinte project emerged, Francesco was immediately called to be part of it, not only for his deep knowledge of olive oil but also for his mastery in operating the extraction machines. Every crusher, every grama, every decanter resonated under his command, transforming the olive fruits into extra virgin olive oil.
Luciano
Master MillerBy working alongside Francesco in managing the olive press, Luciano distinguished himself through his dedication and skill in handling the crucial phases of the extraction process, to create "tailor-made" extra virgin olive oil.
His collaboration was the beating heart of the olive press, where art and tradition came together to create a unique and unforgettable product. Thanks to the synergy with Francesco and their shared commitment, he contributed to making Terre Tinte an innovative research project.
We would like to dedicate this space to express our most sincere gratitude and appreciation to the individuals who have supported this project with their invaluable assistance:
